In the third quarter of 2021, the top travel and local apps in Mexico displayed notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Find my Phone - Family Locator showed a remarkable increase in both weekly downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads rose steadily from 11K at the end of June to 59K by the end of September. Revenue also saw a significant climb, starting at approximately $1.7K and reaching around $6.3K by the end of Q3. Active users followed a similar upward trajectory, growing from 14.6K to 61.3K over the quarter.

Airbnb maintained a strong presence in the market with weekly downloads averaging around 35K to 46K throughout the quarter. The app's active user base remained robust, fluctuating between 328K and 375K, indicating consistent engagement from its users.

Google Earth experienced a consistent download rate, with numbers ranging from 19K to 36K weekly. Active user numbers stayed relatively stable, moving between 207K and 259K, suggesting steady interest and use of the app.

Volaris also demonstrated steady performance with weekly downloads hovering around 26K to 30K. Active users were consistent, with figures ranging from 72K to 80K, reflecting a loyal user base.

Finally, Hopper: Hotels, Flights & Cars had varied download numbers, peaking at around 34K in early August and dipping to 4K in mid-July. The app's active user base also showed fluctuations, reaching a high of 101K in early August and a low of 25K in mid-July.
